Overlooking the cityscape and Hamilton’s green belt is the luxury development, Parkhaven. Located opposite Founder’s Theatre the building is one of Hamilton’s premium mixed-use developments, enhancing urban design within the fast-growing city.
With construction being completed in January 2019, the five-storey development comprises of a ground floor café, office space, 16 apartments and 5 penthouses. The apartments have either one, two or three bedrooms.
This development was very much a team effort, including construction company Form Building and Developments, Edwards White Architects, and engineers and planners BCD Group.

“Parkhaven, with its variety of apartment types to cater for a diversity of occupants, is an excellent example of how to bring density into Hamilton's city centre while recognising New Zealanders' fondness for outdoor living space. The balconies recessed into the building envelope provide functional shelter and privacy between neighbouring apartments and compositionally allow the building to maintain a clean form. The large and uninterrupted areas of glazing provide magnificent views over the city; in fact, Hamilton's CBD might never look so good as from here.”
